Trial Overview
PREVAIL is an international Phase 3, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled efficacy and safety study of oral MDV3100 in approximately 1,700 patients with progressive hormone-resistant prostate cancer, who have not been previously treated with chemotherapy and who are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic.
Locations
Approximately 180 study sites located in North America, Europe, and Australia.
Co-Primary Objectives
Determine the benefit of MDV3100 compared to placebo as assessed by:
- Overall survival
- Progression-free survival (PFS)
Select Secondary Objectives
Determine the benefit of MDV3100 compared to placebo as assessed by:
- Time to first skeletal-related event
- Time to initiation of cytotoxic chemotherapy
